For the Orkater theatre production De Revolutie van de Rinsemas, I created eight large masks. Inspired by Dadaism, the masks reflect the revolutionary and playful spirit of the movement that briefly turned a small Frisian village into a center of avant-garde art. Each mask was handcrafted from cardboard, paper, and enlarged photographs, with a layered, collage-like form that combines historical references with a contemporary, sculptural quality.
